Hello Cauliflower-power, Good question.... I would generally recommend against using your own tank, unless you have a method figured out to mount your tank somehow on (or in) a wall above the toilet. Our tanks come with pre-drilled holes and wall-mounting kits to mount to the wall. Thanks for the question. Sincerely, Amy Chung
