Hi Silverlight49,

Regarding building codes, our toilets are IAPMO compliant and have the IAPMO seal, this should be sufficient for your plumbing inspector. In regards to sitting on a raised natural position toilet, we recommend leaving your current toilet and installing a natural position toilet as well, this may be in the same bathroom or in another, you then have both toilets as options.

I’m not sure how comfortable it would be to actually sit on a natural position toilet, I am told however, that there are plans in development for a dual use model in approximately 3 - 4 years.

As for the materials that may be used for a dual use toilet we are still looking at all possible options. I passed on your suggestion for incorporating Vitrastone in our toilets to our development department, and they said that they would seriously look into it. The fact that Vitrastone utilizes post-consumer and post-industrial recycled glass and that it takes less energy to produce really supports our need to help the environment. Thanks for the great suggestion, and I will keep up with this with our development department!

Sincerely,

Amy Chung
